Scope
• Contributes baseline information about coastal processes, permafrost thaw, and human impacts for key locations
• Supports DoD capacity to leverage multiple sources of knowledge by identifying and describing proven strategies and mechanisms
• Advances efforts to grow and maintain strong and mutually beneficial relationships between government agencies, academia, Tribes, and communities
Scope
• Reports demographic and social data that exhibit the race-related vulnerabilities experienced by Black and Asian-, Pacific Islander-, Desi-American (APIDA) residents of Alaska
• Provides recommendations for equitable adaptations related to locality, wealth, health, biases, and personal support networks
• Prompts action to address knowledge gaps and expand the scope of research

• Addresses a need for improved monitoring capacity of climate-impacted landscapes and forecasts to help aid local land management and planning
• Engages Indigenous knowledge, ground measurements, aerial surveys, and environmental models
• Upholds ethical data management, data sovereignty, and FAIR & CARE principles
